Frances + Nick // Beano's Cabin // Beaver Creek

We love color.

We love travel.

We love Frances and Nick!!

That pretty much sums up our entire journey with these two love birds. You really never know the direction things will go when a client walks through your door, but 10 minutes into the first creative consultation you can just tell when it's going to be pure magic. That is exactly how we felt when talking over the floral and decor details with Frances, style is something that comes easy and natural to her and her color story and wedding day aesthetic matched Lace and Lilies flawlessly!

Let's start with the saturated color palette that we created together. Frances talked about using bold and bright tones and her love for reds paired with corals. This palette was so unique and fun to work with and really added the perfect punch to the very lush green landscape of Beaver Creek, Colorado. If this doesn't scream summer lovin' - we don't know what would!

bold, saturated color palette

The wedding was just absolutely perfect, if you have not visited Beano's Cabin in Beaver Creek, it is worth the journey! A big thanks to Courtney Cyr Design for the day of detailing and to One Oak Photography for capturing the day's beauty! We hope you enjoy this wedding as much as we did...now to print these photos for the new studio walls, we just can't live without them!

One of our favorite design details for the day was their gorgeous ceremony circle that we created from bold and saturated flower pops mixed with pompous grass. We are so lucky to live in Colorado and have these majestic backdrops to have weddings in front of...the one thing we like to keep in mind is not covering up the natural beauty of Colorado. This flower circle was the perfect way to add color to the very green mountains and have a beautiful statement piece without blocking the view the guests were intended to see! It really turned out just perfect!

We absolutely fell in love with the super stylish wedding party and their red mix and match dresses! This is what you get when you are not afraid of color - these ladies are just to die for!

This wedding, this venue, this couple and this collaborative team...it was an absolute dream and pleasure to help create a day so beautiful. We feel so grateful we were able to be a part of such a creative journey and we hope this inspires other couples to be bold, unique and creative!

Best of 2016: Bouquets

2016 was insane - in a fun, colorful, filled with happiness kind of way! We were a part of so many love stories, our hearts are about to burst. The travel was amazing, we saw some of the most beautiful city buildings, remote mountain tops, gorgeous lakes - and all filled with family and friends cherishing our couples and their new journeys!

What was the best part you ask?! THE BOUQUETS, obviously! Here are some of our favorites in 2016 - enjoy!

Kelli Kroneberger Artisic Collaboration

We love flowers.

But most of all we love ART.

Our appreciation and dedication to various forms of art and culture is almost obnoxious. We are constantly diving into every type of music, fashion, craft, painting, sculpture, mural, instillation and colorful thing we can be near. To be inspired by an artist and then to inspire another artist - is the greatest circle we can think of. Do us all a favor right now and check out the talented Kelli Kroneberger. Read her story. Look at her work. Be inspired. That is exactly what we did -

When a person like Kelli wants to collaborate, there is only one answer!! We all hope this makes you feel something, anything. What an amazing painting / flower collaboration. More to come!

There's a CIRCUS in my head...

A look back at a fun-colorful-off-the-charts kind of day!  A team of talented individuals pulled off the greatest show on earth - right here in Fort Collins, Colorado!  Our dear friends at Harper Point Photography collaborated, created and captured all the mayhem - we always enjoy our time with them!

It would not be a circus inspired wedding with out suspending all the decor.  No matter where you looked, bright, bold and whimsical elements dangled in front of your eyes...even the donut cake and flowers!

Billy Balls, Pin Cushion Protea, Celosia and Explosion Grass add the perfect touch to the pop corn table.

The bride and groom's table was complete with balancing elephants, textured flowers and graphics by the amazing GingerFresh Design - fun and eye catching!

To add to the madness, we spiced up the bouquets and boutonnieres and gave them some circus flair!

Our friends over at Studio Be, really hooked up ladies with some wild locks to compliment the bright and bold makeup by Steele the Spotlight!  The perfect dresses were found at the one and only Dora Grace Bridal.  These four were the perfect fit for a crazy day!

Not only was this day fun and exciting, it lives on - all over the world!  We are so happy to have been a part of such an innovative team!

My BEST Friends Wedding xo

Do you remember that moment, when you looked up and connected eyes for the first time...with your soulmate?  I sure do.  Summer before Kindergarden, circa: forever ago, I joined my first organized sports team, terrified to be partnered up with a gross boy - and there she was, the most beautiful red headed 4 year old in the world!  And I have had the pleasure to call her my best friend for over 25 years.  Her recent adventure to Hawaii with her Mr. Smith is the furthest geographical distance we have ever had between us.  Here is a Lace and Lilies tribute to the kindest, most uplifting, not-afraid-to-take-chances and live her best life, friend.

When Alyse and Matt told us they were engaged, we knew we would be a part of their quaint, laid back, spiritual celebration!  The details, perfectly represented their love story.  The wedding took place in the Smith family's backyard, the most unique, loving and personalized ceremony, dinner served from a food truck, and dancing all night in the grass...with no shoes on!  If only we could do it all over again...

The Bride's dress, a BHLDN blush, strapless dress - with a personalized heart sewn into the back, from her late father's blue tie.  The Groom, complimenting her in a sharp grey suit.  The flowers, a bouquet of baby's breath, with a touch of pink astilbe.  The bouquet wrap, another piece of her father's tie...just the perfect thing to be holding onto, while walking down the aisle.

We adored the little nuggets walking so wide-eyed down the aisle!

When planning a wedding, there can be so many decisions and people to think about along the way.  What I really admire most, is that Matt and Alyse never let that get to them.  Their love was always present and everyone could see it!

A gorgeous day, for the loves in my life!  We were so happy to have celebrated their love with great family and friends!  Weddings are a part of our everyday lives, but it is not everyday that the couple is so close to our hearts!  Cheers to a lifetime of adventures together, your young spirits and passion for living a good life - inspire us everyday!

A special thanks to One O.A.K. Photography for the perfect photographs, Citrus Salon for the hair, and Steele the Spotlight for the killer make up!
