My BEST Friends Wedding xo

Do you remember that moment, when you looked up and connected eyes for the first time...with your soulmate?  I sure do.  Summer before Kindergarden, circa: forever ago, I joined my first organized sports team, terrified to be partnered up with a gross boy - and there she was, the most beautiful red headed 4 year old in the world!  And I have had the pleasure to call her my best friend for over 25 years.  Her recent adventure to Hawaii with her Mr. Smith is the furthest geographical distance we have ever had between us.  Here is a Lace and Lilies tribute to the kindest, most uplifting, not-afraid-to-take-chances and live her best life, friend.

When Alyse and Matt told us they were engaged, we knew we would be a part of their quaint, laid back, spiritual celebration!  The details, perfectly represented their love story.  The wedding took place in the Smith family's backyard, the most unique, loving and personalized ceremony, dinner served from a food truck, and dancing all night in the grass...with no shoes on!  If only we could do it all over again...

The Bride's dress, a BHLDN blush, strapless dress - with a personalized heart sewn into the back, from her late father's blue tie.  The Groom, complimenting her in a sharp grey suit.  The flowers, a bouquet of baby's breath, with a touch of pink astilbe.  The bouquet wrap, another piece of her father's tie...just the perfect thing to be holding onto, while walking down the aisle.

We adored the little nuggets walking so wide-eyed down the aisle!

When planning a wedding, there can be so many decisions and people to think about along the way.  What I really admire most, is that Matt and Alyse never let that get to them.  Their love was always present and everyone could see it!

A gorgeous day, for the loves in my life!  We were so happy to have celebrated their love with great family and friends!  Weddings are a part of our everyday lives, but it is not everyday that the couple is so close to our hearts!  Cheers to a lifetime of adventures together, your young spirits and passion for living a good life - inspire us everyday!

A special thanks to One O.A.K. Photography for the perfect photographs, Citrus Salon for the hair, and Steele the Spotlight for the killer make up!

WARNING: our hearts may explode.

Lace and Lilies just took part in a contest for a FedEx Small Business Grant...for those of you who have been so annoyed by our persistence, please accept our warmest apologies, it is never easy reaching out on social media, in a classy way.  But let's be honest, in our world is a great way to get things done!

We all express ourselves in various ways, Lisa and I have been lucky enough to utilize our artistic abilities to show the world how we are feeling.  Flowers are comfort.  Flowers are expression.  Flowers are our connection to you.  But sometimes, that just isn't enough...and there aren't enough flowers in the world to show you our gratitude for the amount of love and support we have felt and seen through out this process.

So here it is, our first attempt to thank all of you for what you do for us.  A blog post is a great way to reach everyone at once, but I know it could not do how we are feeling justice!  We took a huge leap of faith, less than 3 years ago.  We had no idea what we were getting ourselves into, the amount of beauty that would be a part of our everyday lives, or how unbelievably lucky we would be to meet so many fantastic people.

Some of you have been following our journey from day one, some of you are new to this oh-so-crazy-flower-mayhem, and maybe some will find us in the future.  Either way, our HEARTS ARE ABOUT TO EXPLODE.  The reason we do what we do, is to spread our love to anyone we can, through flowers...and in return, we feel like we are actually the lucky ones, being showered with so much love.

All we can say, is thank you.  Thank you for believing in us, to get the job done, to create something beautiful, and to show you how much we are in love with Lace and Lilies.  Thank you for the constant support, you will never know how it makes us feel, everyday.  We are beyond lucky, and keep watching...this is going to get even bigger!

What do you get when you add talented babes + killer models + and post it notes??  Welp, let us show you -

There are moments in time, when all you really need is some bold color.  Like today!  Our oh-so-sunny Colorado, isn't.  The temperature is so low, I do not even want to click on my weather app.  And so here it is, NEON, NEON, NEON...and if that was not enough - more NEON!

KJ and Rob Photographers, really captured the "party" with this one.  Their energetic style of shooting, absolutely complimented the theme of the day!

This bouquet is full of Acacia, Pin Cushion Protea, Dahlias, Alstromeria, Godetia, Tulips and Silver Brunia.  ...and why stop there?  Instead of shying away from the NEON, Keegan with Steele the Spotlight, really went for it with the beauty!  Timiry with Dora Grace Bridal, jazzed up her stunning dress with accessories from Express.  A combined effort, to help the flowers pop - we just love it!

A bright blue table, a post-it-note backdrop and the perfect graphics from Gingerfresh Design could not keep Emily and Kris from being in love and kissing on set!

One more...and I will let you get back to your day!  Oh, and check out the perfect manicure, from Susan at She She Nail and Wax Lounge!
