Our 2013 wedding season could not have begun any better. Our always smiling, Nederland love birds were a pure joy to work with! Their early April wedding at Della Terra Mountain Chateau in Estes Park, Colorado began with the sun shining bright, giving Keegan with Steele the Spotlight the perfect setting for makeup. The air was brisk. Our well rested minds were ready for all the beauty to come.
There is something special about a Sunday wedding. The hype of the weekend is over, our bodies are more relaxed. This particularSunday afternoon had such simple elegance with a calm in the air. Our bride Mica's love for yellow and grey was in just enough details. The choice in flowers gave a whimsical and fun feel. Each table's centerpieces were in various shaped glassware, chosen by the bride's mother.
One of our favorite details? Upside down light bulbs lining the aisle with flowers in them! This was the perfect touch for a family who owns Lumenarea in Longmont, Colorado.
Another personalized touch was a handmade Aspen arch, hand carved with the bride and grooms initials, wedding date and hearts. Our good friend, Pablo, creates these beautiful arches, and we are lucky to put our florals on it. When the bride’s Mother saw this personalized arch with flowers on the top two corners, tears came to her eyes.
Just as guests were arriving, we were headed back to Fort Collins…happy with wedding number one, looking forward to a busy wedding season!
